Applet to familiarize yourself with the geometry of an airborne IR search. Play with the different settings to see the sweepwidth and how many pixels an upright 175cm human will fill (The sensor is assumed to be 512 pixels high). Altitude is given in feet AGL, Depression is the angle down from the horizon. Aspect ratio crops the image in top and bottom to fit on a 16:9 screen and the StepZoom gives you three different Fields of View.
