Plotting parametric curves

This applet plots parametric curves: and are the - and -coordinates, respectively, of the point . Each of and are functions of the parameter . Values of run through the interval . You can set the values of and in the input boxes. You can also set the value of manually in the input box. Hover over "" and "" in the left side window to see the equations defining each. You can change these functions and by typing "x_t = sin(t) - sin(2t)", for example, in the input box. You can also customise how much the value of changes during the animation with the values for and ("" for "increment" and for "speed" of the animation). Click "Go" and "Stop" to start/stop the animation. To clear the screen and start over click the circular double arrow icon at top-right.
