Triangle Transformation
In this activity, we will be using our problem solving skills.
We have been working with these shapes for a few weeks, so we should remember that we can rotate and change the size of our shapes.
For our challenge today, we will be using the 8 triangles below to create 4 rectangles.
The triangles are all different sizes and are facing different directions.
Play around and do the best you can to match sizes and make your rectangles.
*Helpful hint: Using matching colors may work best. Feel free to explore other options as well.
How many rectangles did you make?
Were you able to 4 different rectangles at the same time?
Were your rectangles one color? If not what colors did you put together?
What is the hardest part of this challenge?

Compose simple shapes to form larger shapes. For example, "Can you join these two triangles with full sides touching to make a rectangle?"
