Theorem 13 - Similar Triangles

This demonstrates that when two triangles are similar, dividing corresponding sides will give the same answer.
Drag the triangle XYZ onto the triangle ABC to show that they are congruent (identical). The corresponding sides are the same colour. Move the slider, d, to change the size of the triangle XYZ. d is called the scale factor. Move the triangle XYZ to the right. Drag Z to rotate the triangle. Notice that when corresponding sides are divided the answer is always the same.
