Introduction

This is a vector. It can be written as AB with an arrow over it, u (primarily used in textbooks), or like is shown in the diagram below. When writing a vector in the AB (with an arrow over it) form you must make sure that the initial point (A in this case) goes first and the terminal point (B in this case) goes second. This is important because it shows direction.
