Confidence Intervals for Proportions
Given a particular sample proportion, what could be the population proportion?
1. Drag to change the population proportion and sample size. Observe the confidence interval containing 95% of the sample proportions (assuming the sample proportion equals the population proportion).
2. Drag the sample proportion. notice how the interval does not change in length, but the population proportion may or may not be included in the interval depending on how far the sample proportion is from the population proportion.
