Definition of Congruent Angles: Two angles are congruent angles if and only if one angle can be mapped onto another using any composition of one or more rigid transformation (translation, rotation, reflection). This description (definition) above is what causes two angles to be congruent. The effect? If 2 angles are congruent, then they consequently are the same size and measure.
