Inverse Functions

The purpose of this exploration is to discover the geometric relationship between the graph of a function and its inverse. To begin, click the checkbox that says "Show inverse". The inverse of the function shows up in green.
1. Is the inverse a rotation of the original function? If so, through what angle? Hint: If this is the case, then there is some angle that when the original function is rotated through, makes it land on top of the green function. To aid you in determining this, check the "Show Rotation" box, and try to find an angle that matches. 2. Is the inverse a reflection of the original function? If so, over what line? Hint: There are four lines of interest with checkboxes that will make them visible.
