Graphing Exponential Functions of Growth and Decay
How to use this worksheet.
Left of the graph, you will find the following:
- f(x) - the function in the form f(x) = a(b)^x
- Sliders for changing the values of a and b in the function
- Point A, the y-intercept of the function's graph
1) Drag the red slider, a. Notice the change to the graph and the function f(x).
2) Reset slider a to the value of 1.
3) Now drag the blue slider, b. Notice the change to the graph and the function f(x).
To use this worksheet to graph a specific exponential function, adjust both sliders to your desired values.
