6.5.1 Volume of a Sphere (Cavalieri's Principle)

A hemisphere has the same radius and height as a cylinder. A cone with the same radius and height has been removed from the cylinder. This sketch shows how the cross section of the hemisphere and the corresponding cross section of the cylinder-cone configuration are related.
