A Dynamic Perspective of Similarity
This animation is intended to provide a dynamic, visual image of dilation. In particular, the animation shows that there are an infinite number of similar triangles that are dilation images. These similar triangles share a common center of dilation. They also share a line of dilation that extends from the center and follows along their hypotenuses.
