Relection over Y-Axis
Take a look at the applet below and locate the y-axis, then answer the questions below.
1) Locate triangle ABC and record the ordered pair for A, B, and C. Then, locate traingle A'B'C' and record the ordered pair for A', B', and C'. Is there a relationship between these points?
2) Move traingle ABC by dragging the points with your mouse. Again, locate triangle ABC and record the ordered pair for A, B, and C. Then, locate traingle A'B'C' and record the ordered pair for A', B', and C'. Is there a relationship between these points?
3) Using (x,y), write a rule for all reflections over the y axis.
