In the previous worksheet you found out that the shortest distance from point A to point B in TaxiCab geometry was 8 units. Now imagine you could take a helicopter from point A to point B.

What is the shortest distance from point A to point B on a helicopter?

This distance since we are able to connect the points with a straight line on a diagonal is called Euclidian geometry. Euclidian geometry is the geometry you are most familiar with. Taxicab geometry is called Non-Euclidian geometry....It is one of many...but we are only going to focus on Taxicab geometry compared to Euclidian geometry in these worksheets.
