Position and Velocity Graphs of a Ball as it Moves

Cool moving ball animation to demo position (blue) and velocity (red) graphs. Click "Trace Velocity" and/or "Trace Position" to see, then hit "play." This worksheet shows the derivative of various functions as modeling the position and velocity functions of a ball as it moves up and down the vertical axis (ie 1D motion). Note terms "sine" and "x^(2/3)" etc refer to the function type, not the exact function. Tangent checkbox displays tangent line to the graph as a ball moves according to the designated function Non-motion features (visible when you deselect Trace checkboxes) Selected function is displayed. Checking Derivative checkbox will display the derivative of the selected function
