SPACE-TIME SWIMMER ANALOGY
We find analogical situations in our world every day, albeit we don’t move by “light” (time) speed.
If we have two swimmers in a river, the flow of which has a speed of 9 km/h, and the first swimmer lets the flow to take him, while the second one swims perpendicularly to the flow with a speed of 3 km/h, we will be solving an analogical task, but with a difference that it’s not the time-river. The geometry and mathematics of the right-angle triangle will be identical!
In every moment of such a situation, the second swimmer will swim 6% further than the first swimmer. And if the goal of this experiment is to swim a certain distance, the second swimmer will be 6% quicker to complete it!
