Center of a Circle

Step 1: Using your compass tool, create a circle name Z Step 2: Make a cord (a segment with two points on the circle, that do not go through the center of the circle) and name the points A and B Step 3: Now using your compass tool, create two separate circles one with a center of A and the other with the center of B. Step 4: Where circle A and circle B intersect, name that point C and D Step 5: Using a straight edge or ruler, draw a line from point C through point D, that now touches the edge of the circle, to points X and Y Step 6: Now from Point X use your compass tool to draw a circle with point X being the center ( don't change your compass) Step 7: Now draw another circle with your compass tool, but with the center being point Y Step 8: Where the two points intersect, call those points, point E and point F Step 9: Using a straight edge or ruler, draw a line segment from point E to point F. Step 10: Where line EF and line XY meet, name point L Step 11: Point L is the center of the Circle
