Theorem 8

You will need a little bit more knowledge about circles in order to understand Circle Theorem 8. In the first chapter of my basic revision guide, I gave you information about all the different parts of a circle including the Arc and Segment of a circle. Take a look at the graphic below to see the prerequisite information required to understand Theorem 8.
Now that you have the prerequisite knowledge to understand Theorem 8 it is now time to reveal it! Theorem 8: The angle formed between a Tangent and a Chord is equal to the angle in the Alternate Segment (also known as the Major Segment) of that Chord. In plain terms: Take a look at the graphic below and you will see the relationship between the Angle between the Chord/Tangent and the angle in the Alternate Segment
