The "Virgin of the Chair" by Raphael

The use of the painters of circular screens for their compositions dates back to the Roman and Byzantine period. In Renaissance the use of this form is greatly glossed over by painters. One of the works celebrated with this format is the Virgin of the Chair. Using the analysis proposed by Charles Bouleau in his work "The Secret Geometry of Painters", in the image below. Some of the numerical and geometrical relations that underlie the structure of this celebrated Renaissance work following the clue left by the above-mentioned author will be presented below.
