Simpson Rule of Numerical Integration

Simpson method is a second degree Newton-Coates formula of numeric integration which uses three consecutive division points in a partition to construct parabolas. Then the integral is approximated numerically in pieces by these parabolic pieces. The construction requires the partitioning into even number of pieces. If n is even then Simpson rule formula of numeric integration of over is given by where and is the partition of .
