Image Formed by Convex Lens
This construction shows the ray diagram that demonstrates the characteristics of image formed by a convex lens. The red arrow represents the object and the blue arrow represents the image formed. Point F is the focal point. Click and drag the point at the tail of the red arrow (object) to see how the image changes in response to the position of the object with respect to the focal point.
1. Describe the position of the object when the object and the image have the same size.
2. Describe the position of the object when a virtual image is produced.
3. Describe briefly the changes in the image when the object moves from point F to 2F and beyond 2F.
