Composition using Rotation and Dilation
Part A: Rotation then Dilation
1. Use the rotation tool to complete a r(+90,C ), then D3.
step 1: select point A
step 2 select point C, which is the center point for the rotation
step 3: this is a positive rotation, so it is counterclockwise.
Repeat for B and the segment.
For segment A'B', point A', & point B', change the color to red.
2. Use the input line below the graph, copy the following
Dilate(A', 3), then select the new point and label A'.
Repeat for point B.
Use the segment tool for A"B".
For segment A''B'', point A'', & point B'', change the color to green.
Rotation then Dilate
Part B: Dilate then Rotate
1. Use the input line below the graph, copy the following
Dilate(A, 3), then select the new point and label A'.
Repeat for point B.
Use the segment tool for A'B'.
For segment A'B', point A', & point B', change the color to red.
2. Use the input line below the graph, copy the following
Rotate(A, +90).
Repeat for point B.
Use the segment tool for A"B".
For segment A''B'', point A'', & point B'', change the color to green.
