Current Carrying Wire in Earth's Magnetic Field
This is a simple applet that simulates a current carrying wire in the presence of Earth's magnetic field. The arrow points in the direction of the magnetic field at the labeled point.
By measuring the angle of the vector and by calculating the field due to the wire, data can be collected for a measurement of the Earth's magnetic field.
