The sliders A,B,C represent numbers in the "Standard Form" of the line. The sliders can be moved to mover the line creating different equations and therefore a different line.
The letters m & b represent quantities created by A,B,C that create a well known form of a line and give us information about a line that is much more direct than A,B,C.
