Reflection from a Parabolic Mirror

Author:
Ray Tuck
This simulation looks at the reflection of multiple incident rays from a concave parabolic mirror. The rays are reflected back from the mirror so that the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are the same.
  • Move the slider to change the curve of the mirror.
  • Individual rays can be turned on or off using the check boxes on the left hand side.
  • You can choose to display the normals for each ray by checking the appropriate checkbox.
