Bathasar Neumann - Vierzehnheiligen
A highlight in baroc architecture of South-German is the basilic of Vierzehnheiligen in Bad Staffelstein, built by Balthasar Neumann between 1743 and 1772.
Circles and ovals are elements in the complex whole of convex and concave curves one can barely understand as a visiter. Only by studying the plan one understands it.
The arcs of the vaults aren't perpendicular to the nave of the church but bend to the apex.
