Roots of a quadratic - plotting z=real and imaginary parts
To find the roots of f(x) where f(x)=ax²+bx+c the surface z=real(f(x)) is shown in red and z=imag(f(x)) is shown in blue. These surfaces intersect the plane z=0 to form two curves (in orange and purple respectively). The intersection of these surfaces are the solutions to ax²+bx+c=0 in the complex plane.
