8.2 (Day 1) Finding the Circumcenter
DIRECTIONS:
Navigating Geoebra:
- Click on the purple TOOLS icon to access the Geogebra tools.
- You may have to click on "MORE" to see all the tools
- You can zoom in and out on the graph.
- Use the POLYGON tool to plot your points and construct your triangle.
- Use the PERPENDICULAR BISECTOR (PB) tool to construct the PB's of the triangle's 3 sides.
- Use the MOVE tool to select the intersection of the three perpendicular bisectors. This will tell you the coordinates of that point.
Example A: Determine the coordinates of the circumcenter of a triangle with coordinates (1,-4), (-6,5), and (5,8).
Example B: (You Try!) Determine the coordinates of the circumcenter of a triangle with coordinates (0,0), (0,9), and (-3,0). (Choose the correct answer below)
