A median of a triangle is a segment from the midpoint of one side of the triangle, to its opposite vertex. 1. Click on "Show Medians". 2. Click on "Show Heights". Each height is the height of two distinct triangles. Which ones? Can you compute the area of each triangle? 3. Click on "Show 6 inner triangles with areas". You may have to un-check the other boxes to see it well. What are the areas of all the triangles? What property does this give the centroid of the triangle?
