Wave Interference

Two waves of the same amplitude and wavelength, travelling in the same direction, are superimposed on each other.
  • The two interfering waves are green and blue. The red line shows the resultant.
  • You can change the amplitude of the blue wave by adjusting the A slider
  •  The phase between the two waves can be set between 0° and 360° using the left hand slider.
  • You can pause the animation and set the bottom (time) slider manually.
