Activity 3 - Complementary, Supplementary, Angle around a Point

Observe: Use the slider to Rotate line CD. 1. Look for Vertical Angles, Linear Pairs and Adjacent Angles. 2. Look for a pair of Complementary Angles? What relationship exist between complementary angles? 3. Look for a pair of Supplementary Angles? What relationship exist between supplementary angles? 4. What is the sum of all of the angles around point O? Questions: Move the slider toward the Left (But not all the way to the left...)

5. Name one of each: an obtuse angle, acute angle, and right angle.

6. Are <AOC and <DOB vertical angles?

7. Are <DOA and <DOB adjacent angles?

8. Are <DOA and <EOC complementary angles?

9. Are <DOA and <DOB supplementary angles?

10. Find m<DOA + m<AOE + m<EOC.
