Imagining the 4 cube in 3D means we need an analogue for the 4th dimension. Here we dilate the 3 cube out and imagine the position on the segments joining corresponding vertices as the w-coordinate. In 4 dimensions we could build this so all the angles are right angles and all the segments have the same length.
