VELOCITY ADDITION II
OBJECTS MOVE IN A STRAIGHT-LINE IN CASCADE
Imagine the idea of a double-tier cosmic ship, whose first tier (A) reaches a speed of 2×108 m/s (0.67 c) in relation to the terrestrial control centre (C), and subsequently the second tier (B) will be launched, flying in the same straight-line direction and achieving the same speed, but now in relation to the first tier of the cosmic ship (A). What will be the speed of the second tier (B) in relation to the terrestrial control centre (C)?
Naturally, we can’t apply a simple summation of speeds here, nor would Einstein’s formula for summation be correct in this situation – the resulting speed of 0.92 c (276 923 km/s) is not the right result!
A spacetime circle trigonometry of "Time theory" will make the situation clear again in the easiest way!
