SPOILER ALERT - Broken Spaghetti Solution in 2D
SPOILER ALERT - this is the solution to the broken spaghetti problem.
Call the three lengths of the spaghetti x, y, and z
Then, the boundaries exist when either x=5, y=5, or z=5
These are represented by the boundaries of the blue triangle
on the right, top, and bottom left, respectively
Move the RED point around to experiment with different possibilities.
Each location of the point corresponds to a unique x, y, z
You can see the sample space is the entire grey triangle,
and the solution set is the smaller blue triangle
Points in triangle I correspond to values of Y that are too large
Points in triangle II correspond to values of X that are too large
Points in triangle III correspond to values of Z that are too large
