Let's have "fun" with functions!
The purpose of this activity is for students to explore the properties of linear functions and how they appear on a graph. Students will also practice graphing linear functions.
Linear Functions with Sliders
Manipulate the linear function by using the sliders for variables m and b. Observe the changes in the graph.
How does the value of m affect the graph? What does m represent?
How does the value of b affect the graph? What does b represent?
Use the below applet to practice graphing linear functions. When the function is graphed correctly, the user will be notified immediately. Select "New Line" graph a new function.
