Here we have the area of 2 right triangles and a rectangle that corresponds to both right triangles. Although all three areas seem to be separate from each other, they are related in some ways more than others.Can you find the relationship between all the the three areas: are they related, are two areas related to one?
-As you explore this page, there are some rules.
1. Do not move the horizontal parrallel lines.
2. The length of the base of the rectangle should match the base of each triangle IF you are adjusting the triangle/rectangle sizes for further exploration of questions.
-Lengths should be adjusted completely before answering the questions, then changed before answering the question again.
