Capriani - San Giacomo degli Incurabili

Shortly after Vignola's Sant'Anna dei Palafrenieri Francesco Capriani da Volterra (1535–1594), a pupil of Vignola designs the second oval church in Rome: San Giacomo degli Incurabili. For this church he uses Sebastiano Serlio's 4th scheme, based upon two equilateral triangles. Notice that the four chapels are aligned with the radii os the circular arcs, marking the transition between two circular arcs with different radius.
