Fraction intuition

Use the slider to make the apple in the denominator represent any number between 1 and 20. Now move the blue dot to make the numerator physically larger or smaller than the denominator. ------------------------------ When the numerator and the denominator are the same size, the fraction represents the number 1. When the numerator is smaller, the fraction represents a number smaller than 1. When the numerator is larger, the fraction represents a number larger than 1.
