Rigid Motion

1) Perform each rigid motion to the original figure on the coordinate plane. Describe the steps you took to complete each transformation.

A) Translate: (x – 11, y + 1) B) Reflect: Across the x-axis C) Rotate: 180° clockwise about the origin

2) The table gives a point on the original figure. Complete the table by writing the corresponding point after each rigid motion. Label each new point on the grid above.

3) Given quadrilateral ABCD and quadrilateral EFGH, prove the quadrilaterals are congruent using rigid motion.
