Investigation 1 - Reflections

Today we are going to explore the properties of reflection. In the picture below you can see a shape (what is the name of this shape?) and it's reflection. Try moving the original shape and the mirror line (using points F and G) around to see what happens.
Now we are going to try and find out some properties of a reflection. Measure: 1) the angle between the line joining the shapes and the reflection line 2) the length of the line joining the shapes on either side of the reflection line (ie compare the length from C -> H and the length from C' -> H) Extra for experts. Try and join up two other points, do you find the same relationship as point C and C' had? What if you joined point B and A'
