במהלך ההכנות עלתה הצעה לבנות את פינת החי בצמוד לקיר לבנים בצורת האות ר. במצב זה שתי צלעות של המלבן סגורות על ידי קיר הלבנים, ולכן הגדר צריכה להספיק לשתי צלעות בלבד. מהו השטח המקסימלי של חצר שניתן לבנות בדרך זו?
