Modeling in 3D: The BIG PICTURE

MATH TEACHERS:

GeoGebra 3D GC app provides students an optimal, user-friendly platform to build 3D models of real-life objects. Students can CREATE/BUILD/DESIGN models (as in the example of the cylinder and rectangular prism seen below) within GeoGebra 3D on their computers, Chromebooks, tablets, or smartphones. After doing so, they can use Augmented Reality on their smartphones and tablets to TEST THE ACCURACY OF THEIR MODELS by virtually superimposing these models over these objects to see how well their model "fits" over the real object(s) (as shown in the screencast below). Later this week (or early next week), I'll be creating a few quick screencasts as to how you can empower students to start modeling the 3D world around them (and then use Augmented Reality to test those models). Key is to start simple (and we will). :) If interested, more info can be found on my YouTube channel. -Tim B.

And here, the ULTIMATE AUGMENTED REALITY TEST!
