Practice Vector Angle Conversion

Topic:
Angles
Practice Converting Between Heading, Direction Angle, and Quadrant Bearing The script generates random angles. - Select the format you want to see as given, - Sketch the angle, - Compute the angle value in the other two formats, - Check your work. - ^R, R, or F9 to generate a new angle.
  • Heading (course, or bearing) are COMPASS angles and are measured CLOCKWISE from NORTH.
  • Direction angle (our vector angle) is the TRIG angle measured COUNTERCLOCKWISE from the positive X-AXIS.
  • Quadrant bearing is a short-cut notation for heading and is measured FROM the first letter (either NORTH or SOUTH) TOWARD the last letter (either WEST or EAST).
