Using Nets to find Surface Area
In this activity, we will explore 3-dimensional figures and their nets. Being able to picture the net of the solid will aid in successfully finding the surface area. Recall that surface area is the sum of the areas of all of the faces of the 3-D solid. Refer back to the nets in this activity while you are working on surface area problems.
