Segments and Angles: Quick Vocabulary Reference

CONGRUENT SEGMENTS are segments whose lengths are equal. Note when two segments are congruent, we can always superimpose one over the other other.

A MIDPOINT of a segment is a POINT that cuts the segment into 2 CONGRUENT SEGMENTS. Drag A or B around each time before re-sliding the slider.

CONGRUENT ANGLES are angles whose measures are equal. Note when angles are congruent, we can always superimpose one on top of the other.

An ANGLE BISECTOR is a line or ray that cuts an angle into 2 congruent angles. Note here that ray AF cuts angle BAC into 2 congruent angles. Move A and B around as much as you'd like!
