Solving polynomial equations

Instructions

In this applet you have the ability to graph any equation you would like by entering it in the input bar at the bottom. You do need to use proper notation (e.g., to obtain the graph of  enter y = 3*x^2 +2*x - sqrt(x)) Graph two different equations of your choosing and explore where these functions meet.
After you have examined the equations, use the Computer Algebra System (CAS) on the right to find the exact values of the points of intersection. For instance you can enter: Solve(3*x^2 +2*x - sqrt(x)) = -4x^4 + 3, x). What do the values obtained by the CAS represent in terms of the graph?
