GeoGebra Paths

This activity belongs to the GeoGebra book The Domain of the Time. GeoGebra considers any polygonal line, polygon, straight line, sketch, graph (function, equation) or locus as a path. In other words, any line or object of dimension 1. A list of paths (or points) is also considered a path. In all of them, each point along the path is assigned a parameter, a value between 0 and 1. A point placed on a path always takes the same amount of time to traverse it (at speed 1), regardless of the type of path or its length. This makes it difficult to observe the real time a moving object would take to follow that path, even if it moves at a constant speed. How can we avoid this issue? Essentially, we have two options: either continue trying to make the moving point follow a predetermined path or dispense with the path altogether.
Author of the activity and GeoGebra construction: Rafael Losada.
