Side Splitter Theorem Investigation v2

As a reminder, you are expected to collaborate with your group on this investigation. Use your roles and come to consensus. Don't allow anyone to rush ahead or fall behind.
Given: segment ED is parallel to segment AC.

What do you notice about the way the ED cuts the other two sides of the triangle? Click and drag point D, and/or any of the three vertices of triangle ABC to test your conjecture.

Try looking at the angles in the diagram.

How could you use these angles to prove your conjecture? You don't need to write a full 2-column proof (yet), but outline the steps you might use.

Go back and check one more time with your group to make sure you all agree before deciding you are done. Then leave this tab open until we discuss it as a class or until your teacher tells you to close it.
