Railway Map Activity

Directions:

1. You are responsible for constructing a railway that travels from Washington DC to New York. Draw a line to represent this railway. 2. The people of Frederick (F) want a railway that runs parallel to the DC/NY railway. Use what you know about constructing parallel lines using circles to construct a railway that goes as far north as possible on this map. 3. The people of Hagerstown (H) also want a railway that is parallel to the the DC/NY railway. Use what you know about constructing parallel lines using circles to construct a railway that goes as far north as possible on this map. 4. The people of Baltimore (B) want a railway that runs perpendicular to all three railways that have been created. The Baltimore railway should begin in Baltimore and end when it intersects the Hagerstown railway.
